She began swimming at age three and began playing water polo at age seven.
Why this sport?
She already practised swimming and her brother was a water polo player. She used to stay and watch him after training and one day she decided to try it out for herself.

Injuries
She suffered a shoulder injury during the final of the 2014 European Championships and was sidelined until January 2015. She underwent surgery in May 2015 when she discovered the injury involved a fractured bone, a tear and an ulcer.
