DOPING BAN
In April 2015 he was reported to the International Swimming Federation [FINA] after not returning to the door after a drug tester visited his home. He was suspended indefinitely while the FINA Anti-Doping Panel reviewed the case. In July 2015 he was banned for four years, with the suspension ending in April 2019. The Court of Arbitration for Sport [CAS] dismissed his appeal against the suspension in January 2016. SUSPENSION
He was banned for three matches by the European Swimming Federation [LEN] after punching Partizan Belgrade player Marko Manojlovic in the face during a European Champions League match in December 2014.
