FINA General Congress

In accordance with FINA Rule C 15.8, all Members of FINA are hereby invited to attend the FINA GENERAL CONGRESSto be held on 19 July 2019 in Gwangju, Korea with the occasion of the FINA World Championships.

The exact location and start time of the FINA GENERAL CONGRESS will be communicated at a later stage. The registration of delegates will start 1 ½ hour before.

 

  • DRAFT Agenda of the FINA GENERAL Congress

 

1.   Declaration of a quorum – minimum fifty (50) Members (C 15.11);

2.   Welcome to Delegates by the FINA President

3.   Report of the 22nd FINA Bureau on its activities during the time since the previous General Congress (2017) presented by the FINA President;

4.   Financial report of the FINA Honorary Treasurer, FINA Audit Committee and FINA External Auditor;

5.   Proposals for changes and amendments of the FINA Constitution, Code of Ethics, General Rules, Facilities Rules, Medical Rules and Doping Control Rules;

6.   Other business for which notice has been given.

7.   Adjournment

 

Simultaneous translation will be provided in English, French and Spanish.

 

  • RULES PROPOSALS

As per FINA Rule C 15.13, 19th November 2018 is the deadline for FINA to receive motions, applications and proposals for alteration of or addition to the Rules (Constitution, GR, Code of Ethics, Facilities Rules, Medical Rules and DC Rules). The rules proposals are to be sent to: sportsdep@fina.org

 

  • INVITATION

In accordance with FINA Rule 15.8, no later than 19th April 2019, FINA will send to the National Federations the invitation to the General Congress, the Final Agenda for the Congress, the report of the Bureau on its activities during the time since the previous Congress, the financial report of the Honorary Treasurer together with all duly submitted motions and applications.

 

  • DELEGATES

All Members of FINA are hereby invited to attend this FINA General Congress. According to the FINA Rules, each FINA Member Federation may appoint up to two (2) Delegates. Information on the registration of Delegates will be communicated through a separate communication.
